Recruitment Advertising

Advertising is not rocket science.

A good brief, some sound research and a liberal sprinkling of experience will get you most of the way there. While it is relatively easy to get it right, it is also only too easy to get it wrong.

The devil is, as always, in the detail.

At Ad Infinitum we pride ourselves on taking the time to ask the relevant questions, ensuring that what you are asking for is actually what you need.

It would be simple to place your advertisement in the publications you request and sit back to congratulate ourselves on a job well done. If the audience you seek is reading something different, the chances are you have just wasted your money.

This is where the research and experience comes in. The easy answer would be to throw money at the problem. More often than not, however, some research to target your spend more effectively will reap greater rewards.

In today’s trying economic conditions there is also the temptation to simply throw any vacancies at an internet site, as this is likely to be inexpensive and is fairly certain to generate a huge amount of interest. Unfortunately, the quality of response to web advertisements can be suspect to say the least. People don‘t tend to de-select themselves out of the process and will apply just in case. It takes so little effort to respond, how can it hurt.

Someone’s in-box will be very full.... mostly with rubbish.

Unlike press advertising the web also fails miserably to catch the casual browser; the person who is happily doing the job well for your competitor and who may not be actively seeking a new post.

Web advertising also does next to nothing for your companies image or PR. A visible ad in the press says you are moving forward, recruiting and must be doing something right to buck the current depressed economic situation. All of which says good things about you.

So. PRESS - the go button

A creative approach and sound administrative back-up all help to ensure the correct result. A successful campaign, a happy client and an increased understanding of your business and its goals.
